Bob Gallardy Motorcycle Run

Join the Gallardy Family and area Firefighters in a scenic ride through Central PA.

Gallardy was observing students in the basement of a fire training facility when he was found unconscious with burns over much of his body during a training exercise at the state fire academy.

The run will start at Cernic’s in Duncansville Saturday July 21st 2012 at 9am. Kick stands up at 11am. Contact Joe Eberhardt at 814-941-2350

Campout and party all weekend with Abate of Blair County at the Roar in the Mountains Campground! Tents and RV’s welcome.

Camping is $20 per person, adult refreshments provided. 21 and over only, must provide a valid ID. Beer provided by City Beverage and Miller.

Camping Includes:

Camping Friday 10am through Sunday at noon.
Entry to all Roar Events with your campground wristband (a $5.00 value).

Leah Hoover Memorial Foundation

Don Hoover and his boys (and girls) will back to Roar this year! The Leah Hoover Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization which assists the community by raising funds to purchase safety-related equipment. The fund has purchased equipment such as two thermal imaging cameras for the fire and police departments in the surrounding communities to share and paid for the training with the equipment. Blair County ABATE campground is back for another year. $20.00 to camp all weekend long. 21 and over. Free beer and live entertainment. Friday night The Good Seed plays at 10pm Saturday night Then Barrelhouse Ramblers play at 10pm . After the bands stick around and get your grove on with DJ Toby! The weekend includes 50/50 and wet-tshirt contests both nights. This is not for the faint of heart but you do not have to be a member or have a bike to come and enjoy the fun.
