In the Beginning

In 2005 the Roar in the Mountains Organization began working on the idea of bringing a Motorcycle Event to Blair County, Pennsylvania. Their goal was to create an event that would be enjoyed by bike enthusiasts and the local community as well as bring much needed revenue into the Central PA economy.

Roar Founders got to work, investing their time and resources into planning and developing the first Roar in the Mountains in September 2006. Building on the success of the first year, Roar in the Mountains continued to grow and followed up with another great motorcycle event in 2007.

Bigger and Better

In 2008, Roar in the Mountains moved to a bigger and better location at the American Legion Memorial Park in Hollidaysburg, PA. The move proved to be a good one with over 15,000 guests from the local and biker community attending.

Our 2008 event had something for everyone with vendor row, live entertainment, bike games, bike runs, kid zone, classic car show and more!

With the tremendous amount of support we received from you- our local community, bikers, and musicians- Roar in the Mountains is alive and well, stronger than ever! Join us for another great year!

Performing Thursday, September 19 2013 at 6pm in the Hollidaysburg Diamond, downtown Hollidaysburg.

A.B.A.T.E. is the “Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education.”

It is an organization of motorcyclists dedicated to the protection of the individual rights of motorcyclists through political change, public education, and charitable works.
